Our Method

At Operational Strategies (OS) we are subject matter experts and trusted advisors. We help leaders of organizations become “catalysts for change” by using simple tools for complex decision making. We follow the principles of Industrial-Organizational (I-0) psychology, which is the scientific study of the workplace. We teach thinking frameworks that lead to increased innovation, productivity, better decisions, operational alignment, and organizational forward movement with measurable results and return on their investment.

From the people to the processes, no two organizations are alike. Consequently, no standardized template can work across different businesses. At Operational Strategies, we use a structured discovery process that narrows down the specific why, what, and how elements that make your organization unique.

The only true differentiator between companies is their people.  It is the people that can think more strategically and creatively than their competition.  Most companies do not deploy a framework for thinking.  We influence behaviors by helping organizations change from the common patterns of traditional thinking to deploy one of collaborative solutions for intentional change. It isn’t about defining “what is”.   We help organizations discover “what will be”.

One of the core factors of our process is listening… really listening… to you, to your employees, to the pulse of your industry and to the other consultant(s) on the project. It’s how we can make the most effective use of the intelligence within your company and avoid imposing our own thinking. Your employees and stakeholders are your most valuable asset and every one of them has an important perspective that will provide the clues needed for us to work with you to develop a customized, actionable roadmap that you can follow to success.

Operational Strategies works in teams of 2-4 consultants. Each team is comprised of domain experts in the client’s industry and at least one non-domain expert. This approach forces objectivity to the team for the benefit of the client. Mixing business experts from different domains on the team brings a fresh perspective to the organization. This approach assures two essential components–expertise and objectivity. Our consultants have a minimum of three years of domain experience in their industry and are specialists within their field.

Like any other change management program, thinking differently is only as good as an organization’s readiness and capability for change. Are you ready to think more creatively?   Are you capable to make a change in thinking for a permanent change in behavior? If so, call Operational Strategies now at (512)394-8696 or contact us via email to set up a complimentary 30 minute consultation call to discuss your needs.
